Blair Wilson, BA, CIM
Portfolio Manager Blair has worked in the investment industry since 1993 and held a variety of roles at three major Canadian financial institutions. Between 1993 and 2005, Blair was with Scotia Capital and ScotiaMcLeod, spending three years working with a top ranked Equity Research team that focused on pipeline and energy utility companies as well as chemical and fertilizer companies. He then worked with the Portfolio Advisory Group which operated as an equity strategy group for the ScotiaMcLeod Private Client division. Blair’s focus there was on similar sectors of the equity market as well as higher dividend yielding areas and former income trusts. Between 2005 and 2008, Blair worked at an independent investment dealer as an institutional equity trader and provided strategy as well as trade facilitation for major asset managers across Canada. From 2008 to 2014, Blair was a Wealth Advisor at BMO Nesbitt Burns where he was responsible for providing investment strategy and wealth advisory for high net worth clients. Blair graduated from the University of King’s College (Dalhousie) in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts (Advanced Major) degree in Philosophy and Economics. He holds the Chartered Investment Manager designation (CSI) and has successfully completed level two of the CFA program. Blair joined the firm in 2014. |
